Practice conversations about challenging topics with virtual patients
Kognito online simulations use “virtual patients” (avatars) to help build skills for effective conversations about challenging topics using motivational interviewing. These interactive, real-time simulations address alcohol and drug use, mental health, trauma, chronic pain, suicide risk assessment and related issues. The simulations are applicable to diverse settings and may be useful to many different professions including nurses, physicians, physician assistants, social workers, mental health professionals, substance abuse treatment professionals, school counselors, community health workers and others. Each simulation lasts from a half hour to one hour and can be completed in more than one sitting. A certificate is provided upon completion.
